I had a dream…

My dream life awareness varies. There are times when my dreams are so vivid that I can remember every detail. Then there are times when I awake and they have slipped away in the brief moment “in-between” when I am neither here nor there. I have dreamt in color, in black and white and in script. By script, I mean words that appear for me to read and often are accompanied by their “sound” as well.

Last week, I had one of those scripted dreams. Brief, succinct, to the point. I saw and heard: “Throw away perfectionism. Practice playing with progress.”

That seemed perfectly clear to me and so I have set those words before me as a guide for the remainder of December. It’s time to dive back in to my art and my writing, as well as my massage work. My tight grasp of perfectionism has frequently kept me from moving in any direction at all.

So, it’s time to throw that away! I will keep you posted on how playing works for me. Have a blessed holiday season and may your New Year bring unexpected gifts of joy.
